Chichester Wedding Photographer

My name is Matt and I am a relaxed documentary Chichester wedding photographer.

I’m based just along the coast in Brighton and cover Chichester, Sussex, the South East as well as frequently travelling across the UK and abroad to document weddings.

A Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Matt. I was fortunate enough to have grown up in the Caribbean and now live Brighton with my wife, Lara and and our young daughter, India.

When I’m not shooting weddings, I love travelling, snowboarding, seeing my favourite artists playing live and scouting out the latest restaurants and quirky pop ups that Brighton has to offer.

My style of wedding photography is best described as relaxed and natural, capturing the moments throughout the day as they happened. There won’t be any awkward posing and I won’t have you away from your guests and the party for ages taking photos. The only thing that you need to concentrate on is having the best day of your life and I’ll be there to capture it all.

Chichester Wedding Venues

Chichester is a vibrant city with plenty to offer. If you are thinking about getting married in Chichester, you have plenty to choose from. Its ancient history, roman baths, bell towers, contemporary architecture and the best seaside. You will also find the beautiful hills of the South Downs.

Here are some popular wedding venues in Chichester and the surrounding areas:

Cowdray House

The historic estate, located within the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park in West Sussex, is surrounded by 110-acres of gorgeous gardens and parkland. With both, indoor and outdoor pools and a bowling alley, this unique venue will provide you not just with luxury but also with the warmth of a family home.

The reception is normally held at the manicured croquet lawn with the stunning views of the South Downs, however, there are also the Library and the Drawing Room which are 2 very elegant places to also hold them.

The venue offers accommodation, 22 individually designed luxury rooms and there is additional accommodation in the Lodge, for another 16 guests. There are also various cottages that sleep 13.

The Walled Garden

If you are looking for something a bit different and again by the South Downs National Park, The Walled Garden is a beautiful, elegant and very private garden located next to the Cowdray Ruins. The Walled Garden is a historic venue and it offers a private walled garden with 2 reception rooms within it.

They have different wedding packages which can be tailored to suit each couple’s specific requirements. They can hold more intimate ceremonies or larger ones to up to 100 people.

The gardens have original brick walls, designed and restored by Jan Howard in 2005. You can find sculptures, colourful herbal borders and a tropical glasshouse with tunning rose beds, orchids and bougainvillaea.

Amberley Castle

Located in one of the most beautiful villages in the South Downs, Amberley Castle offers a beautiful and unique wedding venue with more than 900 years of history.

It is a gorgeous 16th century Barn in Hampshire beneath the Selborne Hanger of the South Downs National Park.

If you prefer a more private ceremony, you can use the house, the actual house of the naturist Gilbert White. Or you can have a marquee at the Great Mead for the reception, where you will be able to enjoy the fabulous views of the house and the parkland.

No matter which one of the settings you prefer, they will all offer you an elegant and unique way place to celebrate your big day.
